The story is based on one of Julian Barnes’ novels. Anthony Webster leads a quiet life and is completely satisfied with it. He is at good terms with his former wife Margaret, their daughter Susan is going to give birth to a baby soon. Everything is perfect until one day he receives a strange letter from Sarah Ford, whose daughter Veronica is Tony’s ex-girlfriend. In her will Sarah left Tony some money and two documents. He is utterly confused and wants to find out more. Tony’s meeting with Veronica reveals a lot of secrets which seemed to be buried forever.
