The plot is based on the book by Michael Sokolov «School Drama: The Incredible Story of a Brilliant Teacher, the City of Struggle and the Magic of Theater». The main character, Lou Mazzucchelli, is a dedicated English teacher and family man who gets rid of self-doubt and takes under his wing a school theatre club in a hopeless state. Lou’s selfless work changes the lives of not only the school but the entire working town.
