The series takes place in 1965 in Oxford, where the young inspector-constable Endeavor Morse begins work in the police. However, colleagues are not happy with the young policeman and entrust him with the most complicated cases. The young man demonstrates rare deductive abilities. For example, he figured out a serial killer for his love of crosswords and music. Noticing Morse’s talent, his immediate superior takes a quarrelsome young police officer under the tutelage.
