Max Goodwin is an ambitious young doctor. He recently took over as head physician at New Amsterdam Hospital. Energetic, full of ideas and plans, he intends to undertake a major reorganization. His goal is to return the clinic entrusted to him to its former glory. But the new colleagues are rather sceptical about his impulses. Max’s subordinates are sure that soon his ardour will cool down. However, Dr Goodwin is not going to back down. He is determined to remedy the situation and takes up the cause with enthusiasm.
