The series “Schitt’s Creek” is a Canadian television comedy about the family of a billionaire who suddenly became bankrupt. The rich man Johnny Rose suddenly loses his fortune. The brother of the billionaire, who turned out to be a fraudster, brings the Rose Empire to the brink. The tax service and ruthless judicial executors deprive the family of all assets, mansion and jewelry, making the characters of the show impoverished and homeless. The only thing left to Johnny is the tiny town of Shitts Creek, long ago bought for the sake of a joke. Left homeless, the former high-society family, has to leave in a forgotten rural community. The ruined businessman, his wife Moira and children – the infantile hipster David and the arrogant beauty of Alexis – settle in a nightmarish hotel for truckers. Here they save on cleaning, door locks and plumbing, and there are no spa salons or usual entertainment. The former pleasures of luxury life are left behind, but the Rose hopes to change the situation, to sell the terrible town and restore the former comfortable existence.
