The series tells about an average African-American family from Indiana. The main characters of this picture are a simple car mechanic Benny and an employee of the local hospital Regina. Having four children, the couple is trying to get back on their feet and provide for their family, overcoming endless difficulties along the way. All members of the Upshaw family are confident that they will definitely be able to become happy. However, even now they have something that hardly anyone can take away from them – loyalty and love.
