The series is about the unsightly side of parenting: the constant rivalry, moral (and not only) trauma and trials that the middle class face when deciding to have children. The main characters are mothers. Amanda is an organized person. Her entire apartment is in perfect order, as are her children. Liz is her exact opposite, slightly absent-minded and believes that children should express themselves and not walk along the line.
